Description
The House of Spouses Don Geronimo Adraincem Gonzales y Doña Maximina Tan Martinez de Gonzales .The housed was built in the late Spanish & Early American Period same to the Casa Bernedo you wonder why? Because Don Geronimo Gonzales & the Mother of Doña Isabel Adraincem Gonzales Macias de Bernedo , Doña Felicia Adraincem Gonzales de Macias we're sibling. The housed was built Antillean style of architecture. This type of architecture is European (but originated from Central America and not Spain) which was tweaked to suit the tropical climate of the Philippines and thereafter, had its own Filipino and unique character. The Evidences of its Spanish type is that wide window panels called (Abanico) made of Capiz shells. the ventanillas below the wide panel windows that used as ventilation during summer so that air can circulate inside the grand sala thru the motifs above the wide windows engrave initials of JMG a unique of its kind. It has a dutch hip roof common on houses in South East Asia used also for ventilation. There are traces for American Architecture due to its Calado ( filigree designs or decorative wood designs above the initials of JMG , common to the American Victorian Era and the tin sheets.
